Washingtonpost.com has selected a PHP/MySQL-based content-management system for its new entertainment calendar, according to news-technology company NewsEngin.
Hooray for my favorite scripting language/database combination. It's always nice to see PHP/MySQL getting props in high places.
This is a Slashdot flame war ready to happen.

Well considering domino is a pile of standards ignoring sheeite - I can't blame them. I have to work with the damn thing every day, and every bit of programming usually ends up in a work-around or two.

Oops, I forgot to insert the <sarcasm> tag in my first comment. We were using a Domino server at the Columbia Missourian for several months until I hacked together my own primitive PHP/MySQL content management system.

Lucky boy. We had to develop our own content management system within domino for our site.
It was either domino or oracle portal... and let me tell you oracle portal is pretty dire...
